Lanyard Vid

You could see the vid?!?!?

I couldn't even see it on my own computer!

That knot was one of my faves, which is called a waggoneers hitch (if I remember correctly)

I don't really endorse this as a way to tie in to your lanyard. Don't kill yourself.

Any knot like that is refered to as 'slippery.'

And I don't like the way you have to loose it.

It needs to be break-away.

I hope none of you think I am actually endorsing this idea.

MB- right on with the terminology. I use slippery knots everywhere. I don't think enough people realize how much time and frustration it saves.

ps- Don't use this knot for yourself. Use it to tie things to the truck.

pps- Nope, I didn't go to Point. You're confusing NickfromWI with Nick from Wisconsin.

The few times i was really worried about such quick escape; i tied a slip knot in the lanyard to the side D a few feet from the snap. Then, snapped my saw snap (light duty) into the lanyard snap. Whereby ditching the saw; would give quick release as it pulled release side of hitch to lanyard, and catch the saw in 1 action; no hand pull required. The light duty snap/strap would let go if it got whatever force on it (stuck in tree top, as it fell forces would break).

Couldn't totally recomend it; just how i dealt some extra confidence in safety in some tough spots. Never really tried it in actual emergency.

Slipped connections have great utility value!
