Lanyard adjuster

Time for a new adjuster for my wire core lanyard. Any suggestion? I currently have a petzl micro grab. I like it but would just like to try something else.

Not a lot different I am sure but I have the isc rope grab on my wire core. I use a hitch on my non wire core which I use 90% of the time so it was a little different at first but I really like it. Much better than the gibbs I had on my first lanyard. Nice thing about it vs the gibbs is the rope feeds so smoothly I can make it tend its own slack without having to pull the tail of the laynyard works almost as good as a positioner which I would like to try more for my next one.

I use a beeline prussic with a pulley, works great. I can take the pulley of and use both ends of the lanyard for tricky spots (still be bucked in, while throwing other end to a higher spot).

For me, what it works the best is a KMIII with a mechanical splice on both end. I use it with a Cinch. And I put a triple action carabiner and a dynema sling(22kN) tie in a prussik loop on the rope so a can use it like a srt system when i need it. My laynyard make about 20-25 feet long. This set up works very weel for tall tree pruning.

You can also try a dynamic rope instead of a stactic. I think it's more confortable because the tree can move idependatly from you. When it's a windy day, it's very useful.

Micro grabs work mint on wire core. Pulleys and cordage don't work for me with wire core, they don't shorten one handed properly. Then if you get into pitchy conifers you'll hate life. So, if the micro works for you and you like it, then why change what your used to?

Thanks for the input. I've tried hitches before on my wire core lanyards and didn't really like it. Might just go for the micro grab again. They all seem very similar with no major advantages or disadvantages.
