Skylotec has introduced an improved version of the Kolibri -

•Quick-Release leg loops utilising the same quality buckle as used on the waist band
•Reduced length gear-loops to elevate any snagging whilst climbing. 2 upper loops and 4 lower loops
•A chainsaw lanyard attachment point has been added to the centre of the back support.
•Karabiner attachment loops located on both sides of the harness
•An elasticated webbing First-aid kit attachment point on the back

For anyone who has never tried one, they're one of the most comfortable harnesses on the market (mainly due to the rigid legloops). Been using mine for 5 years now and it's good to see how they've listened to us climbers and made a few changes to improve things. Looking forward to trying it out.

Re: Kolibri \'Click\'

Looks very similar to the prototype Stein was working on with Skylotec. They had it on display at the 2010 TCI Expo in Pittsburg, PA. The side D-rings look a little different than the old model. Hopefully slanted forward a little more so they don't twist in quite as much when loaded.

Re: Kolibri \'Click\'

Looks like a lot of work went into developing it. However, I like rope bridges. You can replace it and swap hardware.

Re: Kolibri \'Click\'

I have to agree rope bridges are so smooth and give really good lateral movement. I love rope bridges, just require constant checks.

Re: Kolibri \'Click\'

I had the Kolibri for a while and the rigid leg loops did not work for me. I have to admit if I was sitting in just the right position it was VERY comfortable, but if I wasn't in the right position at times the two rigid leg pieces would come together and pinch me in a very bad spot.

Most likely it was because your leg loops were too loose...if they are snug that almost never happens

Re: Kolibri \'Click\'

Thanks guys that is my wife and son at the beach ( shoreline ) on Sunday after a day on the water in my bud's boat snorkeling with the turtles at 4 shallow wrecks. The little boat is in the back of the photo ( man standing on the bow ). Nice day. Next week is hunting barracudas and snapper with the spearguns unless there is a north swell. Oh yeah loose leg loops will always cause discomfort, a harness IMHO should fit snug with no movement somewhat like a good running shoe.
