Kent Eagles

I usually post these pics on the general discussion forum, but maybe I'll start posting them here. After all, I am climbing for fun.

These are from a climb last wednesday. Are job was to replace one camera, and fix another.

The eagles were there while we worked on the cameras, they perched on some adjacent cottonwoods and watched. During our ascent, they both soared in and floated within 30ft of the nest, taking a good look at Shaun who was almost at the nest.

Are those from your personal camera while in the tree?
Or, are they from the set cameras?
Is it ok to climb up there any time or is there an ideal time to go up i.e. the Eagles are away. I climbed an Oak
tree in a cemetary once that had a hawks nest with hatchlings in it. I stayed as far away as possible but was a
bit unnerved with "momma" in the near distance. No harm came to the hawks and they were not abandoned. Really cool shots.

Roger,
I'm not sure what the regs say about climbing around birds, or near nest. We only climb these trees when Dept. of Fish and Wildlife has small jobs. We do try to pick times when we know the birds might be gone. However, they don't leave for very long, only 2 to 3 weeks at a time. This pair will begin to build the nest up soon, from what I'm told, activity will increase.
The Pics are from my camera

Awesome pictures. My bro in CO turned us on to a live eagle cam site last year. It was incredible watching them; egg to fluff ball, to eaglet, to fledgling, to gone. Happens fast.
I hope I'm not breaking any thread etiquette by posting a couple somewhat related pics here. We were doing palms when this Osprey flew overhead with a fish in its talons. Watched it land one footed on a big dead pine and chow down. We get to see some pretty awesome stuff in our line of work!
