He got himself up the tree under his own power. Cut everything off on his way out safely. And he certainly could have made that face cut. But we were in a hurry so I cut the face and tied up some half inch lines with multiple wraps above and below the cut which was unnecessary but just an extra precaution to prevent Barber chair or trunk split of any kind

Nicely done @Daniel. I have to say though I watched the video that your son filmed of you foot locking and noticed that in this video and that video your rocking the same saddle and friction hitch tending system and have to say they both show their age.

Probably was the same saddle though I'm quite sure it's not the same prussic cord.
Suffice it to say that was one of the few times I did much climbing in 2016. I actually was only in those pine trees for maybe a half hour to 45 minutes total. And I got to tell you my feet hurt for weeks afterwards. Then I did another job it was even shorter time maybe a half hour climate of small Oak Tree in South Carolina and that was in November my feet are still hurting to this day. So I just don't climb too much anymore my body's not made for being in those hooks. Does feel a little bit like a handicap but with a 75-foot bucket I sleep just fine at night

In the meantime that took her cell got legs. Ended up disappearing sometime last year. The same was my favorite old saddle. That was a B1 butterfly I have another B1 butterfly into B2 butterflies. So I'll be okay but that was set up just the the way I prefer. I always use the B2 when I'm in the bucket
