Neither me or the instructor of the class were saying that anyone was 'Hitler'. My take-away was to focus what I was saying and thinking.

Almost everyone wants to make a difference...but, what kind of difference? How are you going about doing that? What are your goals? What are the means to the ends? Along the way do the ends justify the means? Deep and heavy stuff.

I check into this thread every other day or so. Pretty heady stuff going on here. Keep it up...there are a lot of amazing things going on here.

Perhaps you could be happy all the time if you found joy in every moment. I focus on showing love every moment. My means to end is to die with love for another. Does that justify itself? I believe in it.

To me, contentment is what drives me. That takes into acount the possibilities and potentials of the moment.

An example of not happy but content

For a long time I was a volunteer group camping leader. Taking people into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area on the Ontario /MN border in February for a week of camping. One trip the bottom fell off the thermometer. We went to bed with the temp colder than minus 35 F. Our thermometers didn't read colder. Was I happy?! He'll no!!! But I was soooooo content at the moment knowing that everyone I the group was just as cold and in tolerable spirits. The pre trip training and group dynamics were off the charts. The group of 9 functioned as one organism, helping each other. All part of the plan.

After the trip, in the comfort of the cars on the way home, I was happy. We all have mega bragging rights and a group bonding experience during a rough night.

Love is great and all but only if it is genuine, love does not need to be advertised, and does need to entail giving up of one's possessions... Really none of us have the right to judge anyone but everyone judges, it is up to each individual how they react to others judgements.
 
Things are okay! Use them. But be careful not to be attached to them or define yourself with them. Use, don't abuse. That's a great key for balance. Giving up all possessions, sex, etc.....is but a choice. But you may end up a horny celibate :rayos:(as Ram Dass so gracefully puts it), if you're not careful.

I love helping others and showing love towards others because we all need love. I find it genuine! I am just sharing love. I dont look at it as advertisement. More like simple showing love. I personally feel held down by possessions. Wise words on not to judge! I will keep this in mind and react with love! Thankyou for your wonderful words sir!

Well said! I agree- Use, don't abuse. I am not Ram Dass. I am unique as you are unique. I will keep the sex thing in mind though! Thankyou for the advise and kind words of wisdom! Love it!

I agree all we need is love. Certainly don't need drama. Drama seems to come from use who want love and feel as though we do not get enough, yet we don't give it as freely as we could in our daily lives and choices along our paths.

Ever heard the children's story about the invisible buckets we all carry. We try to fill our buckets with love. You can dip and steal from others buckets with bully and abusive behavior for a short term false gain...the only true way to fill your bucket with love is to continually empty yours into others.

We are all born of there and all die going back there alone.
We are all here from the one.
Alone yet all one?

One love kinda makes sense, on a collective conscious level.

Sometimes Love is as simple as experiencing it. You dont have to read about it in a different story. I do not see drama, I see growth. You are not alone, You have me man! What is your name? I would love to climb with you! I love your fire and energy! When I speak of ONE, I speak that we all effect eachother, We can pass love on together and it will effect us in the mind and body. We are all connected so I share love. hahahah Speaking of love as cliff notes! I love you fellow brother climber!

Hahahah! I am happy I had the number 666! It is in my phone number as well ;) I did call out that many would consider me the Anti Christ. Hahah And that is ok! I will take on the responsibility of being this character in a book. If that means I get to love you all and share kindness and inspire you all and try my best to bring to the rest of this world one moment at a time! THEN heavens yea! Im the 666! WHooooP! hahah

That's my point...I know we are not alone...we are all one, all ways were, all ways will be. Love you too brother.

Hey wanna start a climbing monestary? Climbing monks dedicated to spreading on the love thick like through climbing? Huh huh?
