Go within or go without.
My personal belief is that all that is, and all that is not, is God. I am, so I must be a creation of God. In his likeness, we are creators. When we are in alignment with God's will, our creations flow with ease. When we not in alignment with Divine will, our creations are difficult.
This is how I see it.


O



God's will and divine will = what is best in a macro absolute sense.

In my life I've seen no evidence for a god and no evidence that there is not a god.

Now there are a whole bunch of stupid comments on this thread. If I made stupid comments like that on your threads you would get pissed and have a mod delete them. instead I get chewed out and poked fun at because of Jesus......... and I say "thank you Lord." He said it would be this way. Matthew 10:1-40 1 Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
2 These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

Mark 10:29-31 29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

Come now, Jeff. Surely no one owns this thread, no more than someone owns the sea, or the sky, or the green bay packers.

The cartoons treeco put up are funny, but only if you understand sarcasm and hypocrisy. Your undying love for Jesus is spectacular, but for thousands of years, organized religion has been holding mankind back.

Take the Catholic church, for example. Lately the bishop's panties have been a wad over contraceptive issues, claiming moral superiority over anything else, yet that organization is responsible for the most heinous crime - rape of young boys. Not just the raping part, but the part where they let the rapist off the hook, and send him to another church to commit more rape.

That's ignorance for you, I mean organized religion.

My original comment right after Jeff posted link was not intended to start a "let's trash Jesus and all organized religion" spectacle. What I was reacting to was the style and relatively simplistic perspective the rapper/poet was using. Nothing he said was new or especially provocative - if a person puts their hope in the dogma in and surrounding religion they will usually feel burned at some point in their faith - whatever that faith is. That's all.

I am a Christian - though not a very conventional one as people who know me might attest to. Two things I tend to dislike are people who can't resist making fun of people who are religious and people who can't stop proselytizing...
