Jailbreaker New type of porta wrap

Hopefully I’m not derailing the thread too much, but I frikkin love this lowering device. It’s the Micro, which is smaller and lighter duty than the Mini. I still run 9/16 Stable Braid through it and hang whole 20” diameter Ash trees. It’s plenty heavy duty for my needs. Old porty and old steel bollard device are collecting dust now.

Anybody have an idea if it can be locked off like a porty? I'm sure it can be but I can't think of how exactly. If it can't then that's a pretty big con in my book
It can be locked off,’and it was a super simple method, which I can’t currently recall because I saw it Halloween weekend.

The market dictates what top dollar is. Something is only worth what people are willing to pay for it. And I think this one may be overshooting.
The price is definitely high. He’s been bootstrapping this idea, and is working to get production costs down.

Are you saying it should be renamed Highway Robbery?
It would be cool just to make a supersized rack. Pretty easy to do with some black pipe, drill press, angle grinder and a torch.
Might make for a bomber adjustable lowering thingy like a safe block, or rig’n’wrench.

I'd feel better if the bollards were concave i.e. had end retention to some degree if the rope gets loose. Just enough not to piss you off when installing the rope. Yeah, that would remove running two ropes side by side. I know that would also muff up the simple welded tube design too.

Hoping to put it in the field here soon. I have one of the early versions.
Also note with the first 30 preorders we are shipping them with a free 20' - 3/4" hollow braid dead eye sling.
In our area EAB is getting worse and worse. Lots of rigging in my future.

Is it just me, or does it look small on the bend radius? Are the bollards are big enough to maintain a 4:1 bend ratio with 1/2-inch line?
