Just another rec climb we were fortunate enough to get paid for.

Any idea how much a nest like that weighs?

Looks like it's at least 3' wide. Bigger?

What were you doing?

You should pay more attention in class. Your grades would improve dramatically.

Nice video, Tom. I'm still definitely interested if you need an extra climber for one of those gigs.

Also, if one was interested in setting up a nest cam...how would one go about it? Cost?

Hey Chris,

It just depends. How far away is the nest from a power source? internet? What kind of bird/wildlife? Do you want infra red for night viewing? The cameras alone aren't to expensive. The cable isn't bad either, if you don't have to go to far. If it's just for private viewing, like a monitor, you could probably find something for cheap. If it's for the Arboretum, maybe WDFW would partner up. I got old extra cameras. Call me.

Here's a video of a Bald Eagle being harrassed by a flock of crows. This is on the east shore of Mercer Island in Lake Washington, in Washington state. Bald Eagle video link

Play nice, kids. This is probably the same eagle, as it is just across the water from your webcam.
