ISC belay device-for belaying footlock@TCC?

This device seems like it would be a good tool to use to belay the climber in the Footlock. I can think of other applications too.

So the purple pulley thingy keeps taking up slack but then grabs like a seatbelt when needed.
I bet I thought of that ten yrs ago, hahahaha. Nice find.

I've wondered about something like this for a while. It looks like the rope in the vid was fairly dynamic when he took the fall, though it didn't seem too bad.

I've always wondered if we couldn't incorporate a device like the Rocker into a self belay for the foot lock or the speedclimb.
