Is this what I am here for?

That's a cool video. Thanks.

When I met the mother of my children she was a PT at a rehab hospital. We used to go to a camp (Camp ASCA) and help people with spinal cord and closed head injuries do things like water skiing on specially adapted equipment. We even taught one guy who was paraplegic to roll a kayak. Only adults though, nobody was under 18.

It was really cool AFTER but during it was stressful as hell. So much can go wrong when somebody with zero balance who would sink like a brick is riding with you on a giant inner tube at 25mph.

It would be pretty cool to do that with trees too... I'd like to do something with kids too, now that I know how to talk with'em.

The smiles on those kids ought to tell us something of what we're here for. Thanks for posting the video, it kinda lets a fella know that the things we think we need are pretty dumb sometimes. We all think doing something would be cool, but some of us never take that first step. It really doesn't take too much to make a kid smile, but getting around to trying is the hard thing for some reason.

Definitely.

I think the people running the climb in the video are associated with Arborquest in Michigan.

John Gathwait of Tree Climbing Japan has been doing great work to bring children and adults with various disabilities up into trees, it is the focus of his climbing programs in Japan.
