I’ve read the Salewa mtn trainers and others have a wider toe box than similar arbpro/la sportiva/asolo/scarpa, when’s the last time you wore them Paul? Hard to guess on current quality as others have pointed out though. I’ve been using la sportiva makalu for spurs, asolo fugitive for pruning/go-to, and I wouldn’t buy either again for the toe box alone. Incredibly built and standing up to abuse in all weather for well over a year, but took that long to break in.

Last pair I had was 2019. Actually had crows in 2021. Did not like them much. Gave them to one of my groundies.

Distel carbon velcro's with tree gaffs. It's ended up as an insurance claim by Wesspur and I have a hunch organized theft by Canada Post/ Canada Customs because we couldn't get exact whereabouts. Canada Customs conveniently is a black pit that doesn't take calls and they've now been just plain "lost" for two weeks and counting. Refund is no problem from Wesspur (or even VISA if it came to that) but we (and they) never did get the spurs (back) and I'm sure not paying $1K for them from other suppliers (tax, shipping, duty, brokerage, handling charges, wrapping and unwrapping charges, carrying charges, washing the truck charges, gasoline charges, Canadian carbon tax charges, GST, PST, VAT, a contribution to some save the turtles fund and lunches for everyone involved and anything else they can dream up these days). Gotta shake your head. My learning is do not ever ship USPS/Canada Post. Ever.

Ironically, I have the opposite experience over here, with USPS being the least likely to steal my stuff.

Canada has some whack shit for sure…. Ever try calling immigration? You can only call from INSIDE the county the number wont work from the outside…

Not recently, but it used to happen all the time. It's the delivery drivers, not the company. There's no accountability, and they mark it delivered. Prove it wasn't? How?
