is there anything more evil incarnate?

Then zing-it 1.75...

man, no matter how carefully i flake, big flakes, little flakes, medium flakes, it still snarls worse than any line I have used.

I love it, but in a very love/hate kinda' way.

anybody else feel this way?

Hey Cary,
I'm curious to hear if you have the Red zing it. Iv'e found that for some reason the red line gets tangled more often then the yellow.
I might just be crazy, but I guess i have noticed it enough to say somthing.
Iv'e recently got some dynaglide and am in love

the yellow, and I have dynaglide too, but it is pretty much only used in smooth barked trees, it has too much friction for anyhting other than those :)

I have been using the same all season.
You can win this battle, first is to pay out the line onto a clean surface. I have heavy vinyl trucking tarps and if in the woods or any area I can't pay it all onto I use this super size wheel barrow. http://www.mullerscarts.com/

Tangles are enivitable, there is a learning curve to untangle and for me it is to keep it loose, find the bites or loops and work loose and open up plus the more hands the merrier.

If that doesn't work threaten to use it as bootlace and then she'll fly right.

Working theory or yet another lame rationalization: 1.75mm ZingIt tangles way more in humid weather, drier air, less tangles.

Recently went back to Dynaglide, only because I can get a 200' length without buying a 1000' spool (as in ZingIt), I want to like Dynaglide but I can't throw it as high as 1.75 ZingIt.

I can see that.
Is it that it is tangled in the cube.
I use a collapsible bucket and most times just pay out 30' or so.
I Have a look and if it looks tangle free, i'll fire it up.
If not pay out some more.

I love 1.75 zing it, most of the time it fires right out of the falteimer for me. If it has been sitting unused for a few days it almost always tangles. Now I just flake it out and then back in before I shoot. Had that cube for over four years and it is still in pretty good shape. Going to be a sad day when I need to replace it, not a huge fan of the stretch fabric bottom on the newer version.

Solid advice. Also the more frustrated you get the more likely it will foul up. Expect the worst and hope for the best.

I've notices the same. the urethane finish seems different and seems to wear off sooner.

All my zingit is great until the finish is just about gone, then it sux, especially in the rain.

This is how I store it. It tangles very rarely (<1%) and then it most likely was my fault. I'll try to post some more pictures and if i get time this weekend a video. It may take a little longer than a flaking it into a cube (never used one) but I can have all 180 ft stored in less than a minute (just timed it). With this method you have to tie the weight to the end of the line you started coiling. Using the other end will tangle every time. This kind of hard to explain i hope the pictures help.

Setup for when i throw it. I attach my extra weights and storage bag to the other end to hold it on the ground. sometimes when i have used the bigshot it won't spill out quick enough and it take the coil into the tree. the extra weight prevent this from happening. I have turned coil over so the line coming off the top of the coil.

The only way to overcome the evil hordes of line tangling demons is to clear your mind of all distracted thought. I have a rather existential relationship with my throwline. It does not seem to matter what kind of throwline I use, if I am not in my "Kung Fu" mindset when I start, those pesky birdnests wind up mid line on what would otherwise be a great throw. Clear your mind Grasshopper, be one with the throwline. Magic!

I forgot to add this.
I keep a disc of canvas on top flaked line and with my weight on top of the disc of canvas before I collapse the bag.
Canvas discs helps to keep the line from sliding or rolling around. Helps to pin it in place.

Althor. I trust you but don't believe you. That looks crazy to figure eight it like that. But! It does kinda make sense and I will give it a try.
Thanks.
