Is my tree dying?

I found an Arborist who came and looked at the tree....Verticillium was the diagnosis thus the tree has to come out. I am now on the hunt for a nice feature tree that is resilient or immune to Verticillium. Any recommendations are welcome and appreciate the all the assistance.

How was the diagnosis made?

Thanks Guy, I was wondering that as well. Hope that at least they saw vascular streaking...and knew what it was!
