Insects from a distance

I think it’s just a spring tail but I didn’t get it to jump. And it was found in the canopy of a cypress, whereas I thought springtails were decomposes found more at ground level in moist areas.

That post reminds me of my lunatic friend, same guy that was one handing the rattlesnake. He was at a bar and had his dog tied up by the front door, a guy was petting his dog and found a couple fat cattle ticks, brought them in and showed them to my friend and said in an disapproving tone “look what I found on your dog!” Harry said, “let me see those “ held out his hand, guy dropped them in his hand and Harry swallowed them and washed em down with tequila. Said “ thanks” and turned away.
