Hey Mark, you got it ...Royal Paulawnia. never could spell that that name either.

Is that a tree which resides more in the East? and is it a very large one ? I've herd they dont grow as big back there , but I dont know.

From the pic, the smooth bark looks a lot like a Beech, but I know there aren't that many Beeches out west. The spindly branch structure (like a mini-condensed elm) is leaning me to Zelkova. Zelkova serrata is my guess.

Oh, don't give us a hard one. I was just saying to challenge us by not putting the name in the url. Maybe you could copy the photo to your desktop just for us, then erase it from there once you have it here on treebuzz.
