I don't think so, Mark. But there's not that many oaks out here...
The customer is a lineman, so he dropped the wires for us...which was great, as Friday, we finished craning at 6:15. He had gone out for the night, so he went powerless till morning.. with no complaints.
It was a very tough job, with so many picks, cold, wet windy ...this large tangled pick with all the bark chewed off by those hungry beetles, and the wood a bit brittle...and pretty much right over the dual primaries. and right over me while Mike detangled it delicately. I had cut a 6 inch branch and slung it to the main one, or we'd have had real trouble getting the pick clear.
We gave close to 5000 board feet to the guy who mills it, and the customer wants it for flooring!!!
