In 'n Out

Re: In \'n Out

I'm a BK man, myself. A tad less greasy.

I thought you were a vegatable-arian??? /forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Re: In \'n Out

I spent a summer in Cali years ago and frequented that joint.

The hot thing to do at that time was to get a hold of the bumper stickers they were giving out and cut the "B" and "R" out of the word Burger.

It then read... "In N Out URGE" /forum/images/graemlins/applaudit.gif

Re: In \'n Out

There is more to In-n-Out than meats the eye (pun intended).

Check out this sight...

Secret Menu

This might put your suspicions to rest.

ps- The french fries....real potatoes. Go in to a mcd's and ask for a potato. Ask them to show you a potato. They cannot. At In-n-out they cut their own french fries on the spot! All fresh food. It's good stuff.

Re: In \'n Out

Wait...fried in vegetable AND animal oil? Hmmmm

Actually, I heard that a while ago but didn't believe it because I didn't think anyone fried with animal oil anymore. I guess it's true and McDonalds is proud of it.

Is animal fat any worse for you than veg. oil?

Re: In \'n Out

Hey Nick,
Have you seen "super-size me" yet. For the most part it'll make you think twice about eating fast food. Though, on the extras if you watch 'em, There is an interview with the guy who wrote "Fast food America"(or something like that) In N Out was one of the only places he mentioned that he'd eat, due to the freshness of their food.

Re: In \'n Out

Funny you mention that. I saw supersize me about 2 or 3 weeks ago. My girlfriend told me about In-n-Out years ago, but I didn't listen and basically just thought of them as another McDs. Well, at the end of the DVD I saw the interview you of which you speak, and yes, you're right.

I started looking into the claims that he made, about the freshness of the food and stuff like that. It's pretty much true. Meat and potatos are never frozen. You can always see them prepping everything.

I've been going on a rampage lately making sure everyone near me knows McDonalds BAD, In-n-Out GOOD. One of few bumper stickers on my car are in-n-out. along with www.ripon.edu (where I went to college), www.yalecordage.com (the rope I love and use), www.tripplakecamp.com (summer job in college and I went last year, too), and now in-n-out.

If there's someone in the area that hasn't tried it, please do and let me know what you think. Get the fries Animal Style!

Re: In \'n Out

Nick,
Next time you get a drink from IO Burgers (that's what we call it in
Silicon Valley, you know 'Input/Output'), look under the cup, on the
inner edge you will see 'John 3:16'.

Re: In \'n Out

Yeah, a friend showed me that 2 weeks ago! There's different messages on the milk shake cups and on the different pop-cup sizes. I am not-christian but I like it for it's cleverness and it's un-in-you-faceness. I hear in-n-out is owned by a mormon and I am a mormon expert (self proclaimed) and when I heard this, I liked it even more!

Re: In \'n Out

The smoking fry was the last straw for me! I never spoke up when my friends or co-workers wanted to all go to McDs. I'd just get fries and a yogurt parfait or some crap like that.

I am currently boycotting mcdonalds....especially their fries!
