I don't know why "Chum" is assigned to all my old posts.
I've been off the web and without computers for 6 years since homesteading and hospitals.
This new i-phone is my only connection and from home my only reception is the dining room window (velcro!). I'm still confused with the programming of it -and the buzzboard but age be damned, I'll figure it out!
 
Was getting there..2 years it became 120% food production and while working on a variety of energy possibilities the flood hit. Took everything but what was upstairs. Building higher had to happen but my heart failed, did it anyway. No choice because more floods came. So clean-up and repeat have my load of attention..and doing right to heal all the while.
I still will get that powerline down and relax knowing we don't have to.

Reagan laid-off thousands of USFS professionals back in his first hundred days. That sent me on the road with my new native wife...eventually Texas. Now here.

We were trying to employ contract reforestation manual release replacing phenoxy herbicide (agent orange) management policies. Not one of us able to avoid lymphoma later on in life, not many survived. I remember Reagan's appointed Forest chief showing us how 'harmless' 2,4,D &""T were by drinking a glass of water with .05mg/kg combination in it. He died 2 yrs later. The rest of our section within 15-20 years.
