I remember!

[ QUOTE ]
Lies, [what???] Lies, And Statistics ~ Mark Twain

What does that have to do with the price of potatoes

[/ QUOTE ]

These are just simple figures, not statistics
you see no relevance?

I remember the nightmares I had and still do.
I remember watching footage of people in other Countries
shooting weapons in the air, dancing, cheering, and celebrating. Those are the images that stick with me the most!!

The thing I remeber the most was after all was said and done that day I had just said take care and see you in on R&R to one of my best buds. Yeah tomarrow is a memorial for him and the other loacal servicemen & women who are still over there and the ones who have lost their lives in action. I had someone ask me for a comment on what 9/11 meant to me and I said " I was the last time I saw and spoke to my best friend the one that I grew up with " and walked away just to hear where they in the trade center I stopped and turned to say no in the war after the trade center.

Blowback, but no one wants to hear of the deals we make, who we make them with, why, or the price that's attached. Especially if we default on them.

Worse still, when knowing the people we shortchanged are learning to fly level on multi-engined jet aircraft here in America, we chose to let them learn even knowing who they are, how illegal their work visa's are, and who else they are in contact with. By order, and threats of termination and punishment if the investigators choose to pursue anything further.

But no, instead we think (by pursuasion) that in the end, they're just jealous of our freedoms and want also to drive a Chevy Suburban.

With mindsets like that, and leadership's response to the events, I still bet ten on the Taliban, terrible as it is.

Don't be F'ing up the thread, Reed.

You have no knowledge of me or perhaps the losses I might have experienced on 9/11, so rather than tail me with destructive and idiotic aspirations of advocating we kill all muslims, stay with your own forum on hateful racist bandor or your attempt to intercept some valid reasoning in regards to 9/11 Butch.

Some people, albeit a minority, deserve some time in hashing-out some root causes behind the worse domestic attack on our nation in it's history. If you're not concerned with participating in resolutions based on coherent points to be made, instead thinking death to all others, please confine your war rallying calls to the sites that blindly punch the scarecrows and perpetuate the hatred that only contributes to more 9/11's.

Good points Reed. Butch's constant ignorant rant of "Death to Islam" is more dangerous than our worst feared enemies.

Few people realize that many of the companies in the world trade center were actively involved in the covert and not so covert manipulation of other countries and their citizens. All to be backed up with military might when needed.....and even when not needed.

Hey, you two hijackers! The entire point of this thread is about where you where when it happened, not unlike the JFK "Where where you?" thing. Get it? Do I need to 'splain it any clearer for you?
Feel free to start a thread of your own, but don't come in here attempting to hijack my thread. Get it? Got it? GOOD!

Sorry Butch but your ignorance is too much to be ignored. Just put us on ignore.

I guess the trouble with "I remember" is that some remember differently, other's selectively, and yet other's not at all.

So Butch, my memories of the horrible day discount yours, or are invalid because of some sort of superior recollection or narcissistic image of ownership of the thought of 9/11?

In that respect and manner, perhaps I should tell you to never post opinion concerning war in Vietnam, or perhaps war at all, as it was I and not you who wear (not proudly) the costly CIB on my left breast.

Oh, and I was in Washington, D.C. on that morning, as were several of my associates/ past and present.

You were where doing what?

I remember been in a cherry picker basket raising up white populars over a road,my grounds man hears the radio as hes movin the truck forward that a plain has hit one of the world trade centre buildings, bout an hour later we go home and im watchin the news and the second plain hits as it all un folds all i can remember thinking was this will be the start of a war thats gonna be very nasty and we wont win and that the we have been shittin on other countries for so long, that some thing horrific as this was bound to happen sooner or later.

OK guys mellow out. Mr. Ballow, you hijacked the thread (which you do not hold title to) when you posted that hate message. let's bury the hatchet, and not in each others' skulls.

Another genius post. Please, ramble on more. You know it's in you.

I think I'll go first, if necessary, and apologize for whatever ticks 'im off. I understand the fury of anger perhaps more than most, I feed on it like a horse w/ oats after a drought. It's an energy.

But I also know by now, with time and experience, that it's necessary to channel it, and effectively.

The fury of hate however, if fed right, can lynch an innocent black man, break the arms and legs of an innocent Native boy in town to buy candy, or feed the war machine like no other force. Once in combat, it matters not who the enemy is...if he killed my buddy I'm murdering his family. A cycle of blood only the ones who start it can solve it.

Recruiting Muslim fanatics is easy, more so when we call for every Muslim, guilt or innocent, to die. Especially on the internet, when individuals and locations are as easy to find as the mini mall down at the corner intersection. Americans were not the only ones to die on 9/11, as the Hijackers were not Iraqis but half in America still believe so. With ignorance feeding the bloodshed, a young black musician will again swing from the live oak hung by the neck until dead, down by the town park. But we don't do that, do we? We never pushed a suspect out of a Huey at 2,500 feet either, or massacred 240 woman, babies, and infirm old folk at a rural village either, no, not us, we're the moral high ground and the ethical leaders of the free world.

Making the war on terror last longer because we're hating anything not us and more of them are hating us just because of it, it's an escalation and that makes it personal to me, as if it wasn't personal enough at and right after 9/11.

Want to hate someone? Hate the man who is making more terrorists, not eliminating them.

They got a building down New York City, it's called Whitehall Street,
where you walk in, you get injected, inspected, detected, infected,
neglected and selected. ... And I waked in and sat down and they gave
me a piece of paper, said, "Kid, see the phsychiatrist, room 604."

And I went up there, I said, "Shrink, I want to kill. I mean, I wanna, I
wanna kill. Kill. I wanna, I wanna see, I wanna see blood and gore and
guts and veins in my teeth. Eat dead burnt bodies. I mean kill, Kill,
KILL, KILL." And I started jumpin up and down yelling, "KILL, KILL," and
he started jumpin up and down with me and we was both jumping up and down
yelling, "KILL, KILL." And the sargent came over, pinned a medal on me,
sent me down the hall, said, "You're our boy."

Didn't feel too good about it...
