I’m done

oh gawd it's been YEARS... Currently playing legal chess with my fucken neighbor. Just got their lawyers cease and desist letter.
But hey, just because it’s been years doesn’t mean anything. Let’s get a game going?

In b4 other members say I’m just luring buzzers into a chess trap

Hey man. Depression is real and it sucks. I've been there and so have lots of others here. Maybe not to where you are because everyone's journey is different, but many of us know the struggle.

What have you tried so far? Therapy and SSRIs aren't for everyone and depending where in the country you are therapist options could be limited.

Have you read up in microdosing? It's gaining a lot of traction in the psychiatric community with promising results.

As an aside...no one here wants to fight you and saying you want to throw fists with people makes you look like a clown. And that has nothing to do with your mental health struggles. I'd say that to anybody. Physical violence should be a last resort after all reasonable efforts have been made to avoid it.

Hate is a corrosive feeling. I'm ANGRY with people who marginalize mental health, but hate is more harmful to me than those I'd direct it at.

Can you tell us about what steps you're taking to address your mental health beyond the coping strategies you've mentioned today? Coping is great, totally a good skill to have, but it does not move you forward from dark places. If coping is what you got today, that's just fine too. Still hoping to hear that you've shared what you're struggling with with another human. Be well

I wasn’t referring to myself or anyone in particular in my posts.

I read something kind of fucked up that someone said about depression, and it made me start thinking about how there needs to be more awareness raised, etc. People are sometimes ignorant to mental health and there are stigmas attached that should be broken.

I just had an in person convo with someone about this the other day.

Wrong choice of words I guess in the heat of the moment.

I agree, holding onto “hate” can do more harm to you then it will to whoever the other individual is.

Not to mention that focusing anger on other people, whether warranted or not, prevents a person from focusing on the one thing they CAN change, which is themselves.

This is true.

Again, I think my posts might’ve been misinterpreted. I’m not angry at anyone, I was just sharing my thoughts on the matter.

Maybe a little too passionate and aggressive I will admit, but certainly didn’t intend it to be hostile towards anyone here and I apologize if that’s how it came across.

And I wasn’t referring to my own situation, etc. but was talking in general.
