I’m done

I don’t have the patience to analyze all of the potential moves and their consequences. I don’t have an issue doing this in trees
We had this talk on the job the other day. I can look at a tree and plan every rigging point and cut, but when I play chess I can only see one move at a time. Of course I haven't played since I was a kid, maybe something has changed since then.

...I am embarrassingly terrible at chess as well! He has been beating my tail quite soundly.
Captain Jack Aubrey and his friend, the surgeon/physian were asked why the didn't play chess while at sea on the Surprise. The answer was very simple.

Checkers is too simple.

Chess was a challenging game that would be won more often by the player who was more skilled. Finding someone who played with the same knowledge and skill was difficult. Knowing that you're the 'lesser of two weevils' would be demoralizing.

They would play backgammon instead. Because the element of a random, chance, roll of the dice was the equalizer the game would always be played on the level and pit strategy to strategy. Not all about skill.

Anyone up for a game?

Hey Chris, how ya doin man?
Just a shout out to ya, brother. I hope you're doing alright.
I'm doing well man, how are you?

Been focusing my attention the last couple of days on getting some things done that need to get done around the house, etc. Today I pruned some shrubs and two trees, and fixed the pull chord on one of my chainsaws (the pull handle broke off).

Lol. I lost the handle and most of the pull cord on my mower. It now has an accessory cord extension tied to the original cord and a handle made from a piece of broom stick. Why go to the store when you can fix it with what you have on hand?

I didn’t buy any parts, just used the original. Ground guy is the one who broke it actually lol, because he primarily used electric / battery tools and not gas power tools lol

Good to see ya staying busy. Great to hear from you too.
