How would you spend $100k?

Back to the equipment discussion...y'all are right: at this price point, a bucket truck doesn't look like the right decision. I am now looking at:

1. Towable Lift...I have rented the BilJax 5533a before, and really liked that as a option for tree work. With a trailer ball attachment for the mini skid, I think that will give me a lot of flexibility
2. Mini skid
3. Dump Trailer
4. Chipper

Do you or your workers have or require certifications to work in your area? It would be a super shame to get shut down after that kinda investment.

Start with a good chipper. Get a winch attachment to save time on dragging limbs long distances. Depending on your area, a good self-driving bucket lift rather than a boom truck can make big trees much more manageable. A mini with grapple is also a must, but those are easy to rent for jobs that require it. I do like a roll back vs a dump trailer as well.

Grapple truck and a mini. You already have a chipper. Ride it out till the time is right for another. Chip your brush, load your logs. And if you find a real sweet deal on the grapple, get a towable lift. I built the first truck you see and only paid about 35 for the other. You’ll need a CDL though
