the only reason we are the greatest nation in the world is because this nation was founded on IN GOD WE TRUST. now we have let them take prayer outta our schools, seperation of church and state. when you take god out of our schools you also let satan in,same for government. we have been so prosperous as a nation that we have forgotten what made it such a great nation to begin with. the only reason we have a great nation to call home is beacuse GOD blessed us and made us prosperous. if we as a nation continue to move away from GOD our nation will continue to fall. i think we all need to share god with anyone and everyone who will listen. i don't think that we should ever try to push god on anyone beacuse if they don't want it, it will only push them a lil farther from him. god gave us all a choice and i respect everyones choice. i really like johnny cash, he is one of the greatest country singers of all time. he had a great saying and i really believe its true SINNERS MAKE THE BEST SAINTS. our weakness is made perfect in his strength. in the end we will all be in one of two places. i hope everyone here makes the right choice cause i'm really looking forward to meeting all you great tree guys in heaven one day. god bless everyone here and stay safe.ohh and say a prayer for me, i'm gonna go tommorrow and try to get on with wolf tree.

In the animal kingdom, for it, I've never heard ANYbody teach that its wrong for one animal to steal another animal's food. To take another animal's home. To fight and take another animal's mate. For one animal to kill another animal.

The same evolutionists who would not say that animals do right or wrong, and label us as Homo sapiens, WILL teach that our actions are right or wrong, based off what THEY deem and believe to be right or wrong.

My question is "what is the basis for that belief?" To their dismay, it probably stems from God's written word that they have had passed down to them from mind to mind over the centuries, even though they wouldn't want to admit it. Because outside of God or a higher moral being, there is not basis for right or wrong.

People talk a lot about right and wrong. thats one thing but if you look at the actions of humans, we are a bunch of animals,no way you can convince me otherwise. Look at whats going on in Afghanistan. Likewise, My dog also knows its wrong to sleep on my bed. She still does it.

With aproxomatly 10% of the population unemployed and 15% without health insurance, I find that an ignorant and naive statement to make.

You forgot that we have imprisoned a greater percentage of our population than most of the other countries of the world. I don't know if it is more than all others.

Our War on Drugs (cue: everybody be afraid), I mean our War on select drugs, the one's that aren't allowed and taxed, is a part of that. A friend of mine, who's wife used to be beaten by her drunk sheriff of a husband bought into this. I had to bring this imprisonment concept and farcical war on some drugs to his attention. Guess what? He likes his whiskey and cigarettes (well not so much the latter, but he's sooo addicted to this revenue generating killer allowed by our amazing government).


Countryboypa-- how much do you know about other countries? How many have you been to, or studied. Seems like a lot of the Scandanavian countries are quite progressive. When I was talking to a preacher customer 2 days ago, he was commenting on how the Vietnamese and Korean cultures do the best in taking care of their families (from his experience living around the world while in the military).




Anybody see how much crap in allowed on the TV (torture, SVU, etc), but the government would not allow a boob, bush or male member(heaven forbid the showing of God's creation, even though Adam/ men were made in his image. Way to go gov't.


My friend was just relating how a citizen came before the city council of a small southern Illinois town to speak against tax payer money being spent to put up the 10 Commandments in the town square. The head of the council prefaced the man being able to speak by saying how he was sickened that an atheist would be given the chance to speak against the ten commandments. The taxpayer indicated that he was just trying to defend the against the on unconstitutional action of the gov't explicitly supporting one religion, christianity. There was not representation of other religions, simply the forcing of one agenda from people with blinders on their eyes. Stare straight ahead. All that you see is all that there is. There is nothing to either side of your or behind you. Stare straight ahead. Don't thing that your view might be impeded or controlled. Straight ahead is all that there is the world. Don't think. This has been the great debate since humans crawled down from the trees. I suppose to have tree climbers debating it now is going full circle. Ooo Ooo Oooo Oooo.

And as a side note, thanks for inventing skiing, it's been my favorite thing since I could walk. Downhill, xc or telemark.

So true about the internett!

As for the inventing of skiing, that might just as well have been done in Russia, Finland or the alps. Or in different places at different times with no connectionat all. Just that the norwegians claimed it first, and spends the most money on marketing the "fact" that they invented it. And so it becomes a "truth"...
 
Wait a minute. You are talking about convergent evolution, I think. The same idea being created by different people, independently. So what you might be getting at is that if people wanted something, say, an explanation for what they couldn't explain at the the time, like how the sun is in the sky, they might independently come up with the idea that a greater being is responsible.

Does sunscreen anger Ra the Sun God?
