How big is this war?

Oakwilt,

Global Warming is a left wing conspiracy, which came about after after the collapse of the Soviet Union and it's warped form of communism, the 'left' needed a new way to attack capitalism.

So, they hi jacked green issues and jumped on the environmentalist's back. The left wing press's agenda controls the public's perception of what global warming is and who(Capitalism of course) is to blame.

Global warming is also a very fashionable phrase at the moment, Anyone in the thousands of universities around the world can easily get research funding for their project by including the phrase 'global warming'

So, for instance, if I wanted to get funding for my research into 'one handed use of a chainsaw'

I would call my research paper,

'One handed use of a chainsaw and it's possible effects on Global Warming'

and I would get the research funding no problem.

Just ask any university professor.

Global warming is a scam and a tool used by governments to control the civilian population. It is also a way of getting more tax out of us.

Oh yeah, really?

Glad you clarified it for me - I really thought there were some problems out there evidenced by the data and effect collected so far. Even worse, I almost thought many of the exponentially increasing die-offs and melting of the methane-rich permafrost are exacerbated by mankind's idustrial culture to a large degree.

But since it's all a money thing for Democrats to funnel tax funding to vegetarian leftist Hillary lovers that swear to destroy my rights to hunting elephants, I feel better now that it makes sense like you say. I was really worried about humanity there for a while.

"We're winning" and God bless America and Halliburton. Opps, forgot about Exxon-Mobile...our friends in this struggle to burn-down the Amazon and drill off Cuba (once we kill Chavez).

Ever noticed how the 'establishment' press is beginning to change the term 'global warming' to 'climate change'?

This is so that if the earth gets colder they are covered both ways, they're not that confident in the belief that global warming is actually happening in the way they describe.

There are many issues we do not fully understand with regards to temperature change on Earth. Only recently research has shown that solar radiation from the Sun creates temperature fluctuations in the earth's atmosphere. This can be seen in solar flare activities which correspond to highs and lows in the earth's temperature.

The argument for man made carbon dioxide causing global warming is flawed because the amount of CO2 produced by humankind is miniscule in comparison to the amount the earth produces.

People are too accepting of the establishment press's notion of global warming without even looking at the facts from both sides of the argument.

The greenhouse effect is normal, if it did not work like this we would all freeze to death.

This does not mean we should stop trying to be green, its just that the global warming theory has been blown entirely out of proportion.

Kids in schools are told that we are heading for a major climate catastrophy. Its scaremongering.

"People are too accepting of the establishment press's notion of global warming without even looking at the facts from both sides of the argument."

There are no longer any "both" sides. After reading the directive to keep Fish and Wildlife biologists from even mentioning Polar bears at the international climate conference, where they were invited to present exactly that information...it's clear the only "side" actively resisting the massive amounts of data are the industrialists, who put Bush in office. And we're very familiar now how accurate anything presented as "fact" by this administration is.

Are you still convinced Saddam helped topple the towers, or that Jessica Lynch "emptied her clip" before being captured and raped and tortured?

The burdon of proof is on you to prove the ionosphere hasn't reacted negatively to carbon emissions, not the other way around, as that's failed times ten. Words are being spoken, people are measuring data and sharing the results, scientists are ripping their political muzzels off and Republican strategists have lost their religious hold on fantasy and our futures.

Good luck in convincing anyone outside the fundamentalist christian church that dioxins, the loss of the Ross ice shelf, and the war on terror are God's way of blessing the future of WalMart's America for all and the Democrats are Satan's way to stimulate Rapture.

"There are no longer any "both" sides."

That is because the alternative viewpint is being suppressed.

"Are you still convinced Saddam helped topple the towers"

Saddam helped topple what towers? oh yeah New york I'd forgot about that what with all the shopping I've being doing lately.

"Or that Jessica Lynch "emptied her clip" before being captured and raped and tortured?"

Jessica Lynch - why would you assume that I would be convinced that she emptied her clip?

"The burdon of proof is on you to prove the ionosphere hasn't reacted negatively to carbon emissions, not the other way around, as that's failed times ten. Words are being spoken, people are measuring data and sharing the results, scientists are ripping their political muzzels off and Republican strategists have lost their religious hold on fantasy and our futures."

I dont have to prove anything, the scientists who are presenting an alternative viewpoint are already gaining support despite 'western' governments attempts to muzzle them. Western governments have ploughed billions into 'global warming' research. In a blind attempt to redress the balance of public concern re industrial pollution, not global warming - which is a convenient way of spinning their out their phoney altruism. You seem to be very confused as to your countries approach to the issue of global warming.

"Good luck in convincing anyone outside the fundamentalist christian church that dioxins, the loss of the Ross ice shelf, and the war on terror are God's way of blessing the future of WalMart's America for all and the Democrats are Satan's way to stimulate Rapture."

Its ironic that you talk in a derogatory way about religion, when you have obviously failed to understand that the theory of man made global warming has become a 'religion' forcing alternative explanations to be ignored.

You have obviously been duped into joining this religion, belief in man made global warming is a faith. Another faith which as usual puts man at the centre of all things.

Do you really believe that if all industry was to stop tomorrow there would be no fluctuations in the Earth's temperature?

Again, I'm glad you set me straight on climate change. For the life I've led prior to your statements, I actually believed the Grand Canyon was old when in fact it's only as young as Noah's ark coming to rest on Mount Ararat, after the great flood God made to punish Jews for killing Jesus.

Also I believed 2,3,7-8 TCDD caused structural abberations in mammalian DNA when in fact, as you eloquently point-out, it's mankind's leftist-influenced acceptance of gay marriage that's causing the cancers in children and the combat deaths of America's G.I.'s in Iraq.

The left-wing media also convinced me that the moon landings were real when you've forced me to realize it was a Democratic party hoax, designed to waste billions of tax monies on homosexual escort services for the left-leaning Washington press corps.

God bless Sun Yung Moon, the felon-cum-Republican press mogal cult leader who insists that God talks to G.W. Bush and Tom Foley was framed because he never really hurt those young male page boys and Duke Cunningham really needed those millions to fight against negroes who only know how to fry chicken, not vote.

Keep enlightening me, I'm always open to new ways to teach our children how the earth was really made and Eve was from a pile of mud, after God threw one of Adam's ribs on it.

Gotta go to WalMart, need some quality lawn chemicals, see ya later.

Dont know what makes you assume I am a fundamentalist Christian.

I believe in the christian ethos of treating a poor person the same as you would treat a rich person, and that materialism is wrong, Jesus spent most of his time with poor and ill people.
There is a lot to admire about Jesus's philosophy.

But it has nothing whatsoever to do with global warming.

Your preconcieved left-wing north american bias on political, environmental and religious issues is clouding your judgement and making you come to blind assumptions.

Take Chavez for instance, the guy is a majorly corrupt ego maniac, he lives in decadent affluence for christ'sake!
He is suppressing the middle classes and intellectuals in Venezuela from his ivory tower. He is running Venezuela like a disorganized mafia. He is about as much a socialist as Ronald freakin Reagan was.

If there is one thing I hate it is moral piety. Hence my distrust of religion and politics.

People who advocate the theory of man made global warming are typical of the morally pious do-gooders trying to f**ken micro manage every aspect of our private lives.

You got that right!!

I'm going to go and drain a tank of diesel oil down into the creek tonight just to lay claim on my rights to do as I wish and no dern lefty evironmentalismists can stop me!! Besides, there's only left-wing funded research on the toxic effects to fish, right? The creek flows thru my property, it's MINE between the fences!!!

And thanks for pointing out that Reagan was a socialist, a true pinko gay commie. I knew there was something Hollywood about him!

Pat Robertson for President! He'll nuke the non-whites and let us prosper better than Bush did and he knows that gay activists are responsible for inflation and school-age obesity.

Are you packing heat? I'm a member of United Home Neutron Bomb Owners of America...tresspass here and she blows every living organism into instant dust for hundreds of miles, which is okay because they voted for a Democratic congress and there are too many red-tailed hawks flying around killing all my Pit Bull puppies.

Great talking with ya!

Wonder if anyone ever thought why the world should hate us?

[/ QUOTE ]

The world does'nt hate you, in fact most people round the world dont give America a second thought when they hear it's name mentioned.

Glad to know you know most people in the world. I also met not just a few while I was employed in exercising American foreign policy.

The one thing I'll never forget were the looks on the faces of political activists fighting for democracy just before we chucked them out of the Huey at 5,000 feet up. God bless America, they just didn't understand our friendly objectives!

One thing people do have a problem with is America's relentless moral piety and habit of dividing the world into goodies and baddies.

The idiot president Reagan denounced the Soviet Union as an 'evil empire',

Bush's lumping together of three very different regimes 'axis of evil',

Woodrow Wilson believed that Europe's only salvation was to remake itself on an American model.

The US embodies all that is good in the world.

Its this immature childish rhetoric the rest of the world dislikes. The US has been chosen by God to bring freedom, virtue and light into the rest of the world.

The US believes that evil can be driven out from the world. Where as the rest of the world believes that evil will always exist and we will always have to deal with it.

For the founding fathers of America, human beings were flawed creatures that no change in institutions could improve for good. For them the purpose of government was not to lead us into the Promised land but to stave off recurrent evils to which human life is naturally prone.
This was a realistic view but unfortunately Bush has forgotten it or never really known about it.

This is problem the world has with America.

Reed, did you actually have to do this? Or were you just making a point?

American Institute for Free Labor Development (AIFLD) was my contract employer, from 18 February to 10 September 1983.

We travelled far and wide throughout Central America, notably Nicaragua. My capacity was building rural networks, literacy programs, and technology assistance. Fancy nomenclature indeed.

I won't go into details but history hasn't been kind to our winning hearts and minds there, Google might fill-in some of the gaps I've purposefully purged from my memories.

Quite the contrast from the lessons taught our young 'uns in history classes all across America.

Treework and cancer counselling are pennance for me, Iraq a reminder of just how little we've changed.

It sounds respectable, even supportive of labor. The Institute's history is admirable indeed unless you dig to peel back some of the official by-lines.

Oddly enough, the itinerary of the group's travels and operations preceeds every single third world insurgency the last 25 years and precipitated armed, active resistance movements against repressive regimes. Our subtle motto was: "where we work soon to be a war". Indeed. One certain fact...unemployment decreased as thousands found work as revolutionaries or the opposite...purveyors of torture, death squad membership, or "flight attendents", our star pupils.

The AFLCIO had a commendable beginning in the project, their philosophy was to avert attractive communist organizing efforts in dirt-poor, land baron-rich rural areas where working people were literally starving to death. It didn't remain as such.

What often appears to be isn't, just always keep that perspective when learning about "compassionate" foreign assistance programs...or the benchmarks on the war on terror...or the designed resistance to the reality of climate change.

Grover

If global warming is such a myth, then do explain the rotting glacier's in Alaska and elsewhere.I've seen them with my own eye's,taken pictures and talked with the locals.I wish I had the selective ignorance you display, before you judge America,I suggest you live or visit there.Yes,many of the populace lack the gepgraphical knowledge that most Europeans posess, however that is a result of the education system.
