Hitch Hiker X ????

Looks good Rich, 2 questions though....is that the standard RR slick pin and can it be used up top with any eye to eye to replace the bone and tieing knots?

Just a brief off topic-ish post, I just drilled out a stainless shackle so I can make a slic pin design for my independent RW tether, that was easy, thx for the inspiration Richard/treestuff. Is Nick going to be mad at me now? ;-) Not to worry not for life support.

and yes it does work up top to replace the dogbone by attaching the eyes directly to the shackle. It feels bit different though.

I can imagine a "tethered" washer on the tooth/pin side of the slic pin and another washer permanently installed on the head side of the slic pin so the eyes on an e-2-e cord plays friendly on a dogbone/slic pin. Despite everyone's reports of success configuring the hitch with the current HH bone, I've always had a fight with it, slic pin dogbone would rock.

There were some comments by ethic that I didn't understand in the fb threat like bye bye biners and how it could be used for the rr. Maybe he can share.
Yes, this quickie can be used in replacement of the Rope Runner carbiner as well. It can be attached to the rope bridge via another Quickie that replaces the bridge ring. Lots of options with this shackle and slic pins in general

we have played around with these a bit, however the size of the Quickie allows for the double slic pin to be used without having to take it all the way out in order for a rope to be passed through. The Larger wider shackle does that as well as accept a Rope Runner or a Hitch Hiker.

So this is something that can be used on various devices? That's a bit refreshing. With the original post I thought at first it was HH only and without PC's backing. Now I see that is just another use for this thing
