Hitch hiker/2/x thread

Hey, all,

Does anybody know whether you can use the HH2 with 1/2" rope? I don't have time right now to check with my 1/2" rope, but if it will work with something like Yale XTC 1/2" polyester, I want to get some of that rope while the sale is on today. (The hank of XTC that I have now is worn out.) I have some Yale Blaze, but I'd like to use a thicker rope if it'll work...

I'm kind of surprised about maybe needing 10mm hitch cord...I'm using 8mm Ocean Polyester now on my skinnier Yale Blaze...anyway, thanks for your help.

FWIW, I used to use Yale xtc when I started climbed on the HH2 and later found that Samson Vortex was a much nicer ride. 12.7mm so still basically 1/2" I used Arbpro 9.3 (if I remember correctly) Hitch cord.

For me, it is the lower connection being a single steel carabiner. I have learned to avoid any of the perceived problems and find that having the ability to detach and reattach the HH2 with one hand a distinct advantage.

That added to its rugged construction and small physical size, make it my go-to for jobs that require the finesse of a hitch based tool.

I will echo Dave's sentiments here. Having owned both the HH2 and HHX, I prefer the HH2 (sorry Richard).

I should have this HH2 hydrid this week. It’s lighter and a little bit smaller in every way. I posted another place but I see This is where I should have posted this I was and am just excited to get it..

Then I have then scrench from west coast saws coming. It’s a scrench with ratcheting sides along with your flathead for adjustments that scrench looks awesome does anyone on here have 1 ?

@Christrees, can you give any more information about this new HH? Like is it a one-off or will it be commercially available? What's it made of and who is making/selling it?
