Help Me Decide on a Bucket Truck

Gorman, I wish I had a International 466E in mine. She definitely won't win any races...and luckily the tall bridges in our area have truck lanes.

But you know, she keeps chugging along and doing a great job.

I have a 466e in my wood truck. Great engine too. There's just weird things to watch out for with that one. Like the belt tensioner on the front engine plate. My broke off (a thing that does happen with this guy) and the water pump stopped turning. Bad outcome. But not a common one. I get great fuel economy in both, I burn more diesel in my 7.3

We run a xt60/75 elevator on a tandem international with a 30 yardish chip box and a xt55 on a f750 and I'd light the xt55 on fire if it ment I could only use the elevator truck. The elevator takes most household hydro lines out of the picture and the extra manuvering you can do is insane. If an elevator is in your budget BUY it! Btw, as far as I know, at least on the highranger elevators, the booms are staggered differently with a longer upper which seems to give it sickening side reach.
Hi BigWood, I would love to see a picture of your tandem 60-70. Been thinking of swapping my boom and chip body to a tandem cab and chassis. Thanks Dave
