I used to think people did not actually pay to have this done. I believed that those who committed acts like this on trees were unskilled guys (or gals) with a ladder and a saw whose parole conditions did not restrict the use of sharp objects. I am so naive.
But I saw an actual tree service on site here - chip truck, chipper and 4 crew. I saw it at the chipping stage. I did not actually see the cuts made.
I looked up the website of the company whose name was on the truck. They are skirting things. They make no claims to be ISA certified and they do not show a logo anywhere. Yet, their blurb on pruning 'services' states that they prune to ISA accepted standards. |Ha!
My husband who has fairly relaxed attitudes about what people should be able to do with their own trees (partly to make me nuts) was shocked. He said they miust be planning to return later to finish this removal. Their saw must have broken. He thought he saw rope in the tree. I pointed out that it was shreds of peeled bark. Double Ha! This was about a month ago. I took the image today.
