Harness Organization

A warm day here in Southeast Pennsylvania. Time to clean out the climbing bag and reorder it all from a wet/hectic winer so far.

Thought I would show you some of my solutions to harness management.

I like long lanyards. 18' to 20'. Just my style. There of course is a story behind how I arrived at that length, but perhaps another time.
Here is my management solution.

I got tired of one lanyard per saw, so I made one lanyard for all my saws. Can't say enough good stuff about the full reach recoil lanyard. I modded mine a bit. Been using it for over a year. It has never snagged enough for me to get mad. No better review than that. The right most Vault is the position I use when I have a saw attached. Pictured is the storage position.

Really nice, and I have a very similar arrangement. Except, I only have one of the Rock Exotica hooks, and none of the DMM ones, yet. Bunch of the Petzl Caritool ones. I'd like to replace those, over time, with either the RE or DMM ones.

I don't have a vault either, but I do have two trasporters on my MCRS and love them.
Tony, have you used RE's version yet? How do you like the vault?

I used the Transporter briefly on a saddle out of one of the vermeer kits. So while I have had hands on it, I won't say I have consistantly "used" them. So no real opinion there.

As for the Vault, they are (pun intended) hands down awesome. The locking mechanism is simple even for my meathead thumbs and effective. It took me one climb to get the one handed action down of taking somethin on or off. A well designed tool worth the $$
