Happy New Year!

Nothing too exciting for me tonight.

There is a show on public television that was taped at Eric Clapton's Crossroads concert last summer in Dallas. Some smokin' guitar pickers...

BB King
John Mayer
Joe Walsh
Robert Cray
JJ Cale
ZZ Top

Many that I didn't recognize but they rock. That must have been an incredible few days.

For a long time I've looked at tree work like playing an instrument or other performance art. In order to be good it takes practice. Learning the roots of the art too. These guitar pickers go back to Robert Johnson, we need to go back to Pirone.

All the best in the New Year and thanks for hanging out at the Tree Buzz Cafe this year!

Here's hoping this year is as good as the last! /forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Would've been one great "lifetime" event to have attended.

From Clapton's mind to his fingers to the speakers as Hemingway's mind to pages or Hawking's thoughts to screen, it is art of expression akin and cousin to a smooth climb.

Promote art - it's the single element that distinguishes humanity from itself, anything otherwise is dangerously literal and dimensionally isolated.

Movement and flow. The architecture of a tree, if put to music, does a symphony make. Loathe the mind that can't dissect it that way and celebrate the one that can.

Thanks Tom and make another year a good one. It's in each one of us.
