Hands On Crane Workshop

Hi All,

Thanks for the replies as they help us decide the level of interest out there so we can work on organizing a better, more focused event. We have support and sponsors aligning as wespeak and will be sure to post updates here and the facebook page.

I will try to keep the costs the same as before even though we have made a few changes that add costs to the overhead. I can't see doing on e at Rutgers like this because they do not allow participation and that was our orignal concept and I still feel that it is a great way to learn this process. We may still do something around NJ, but will have to find another location first.

Thanks again and stay tuned.

For those of you thinking of attending, do you think that October 30, 31 and November 1 look good, or does Novenber 6,7,8 look better? I am wondering how many of you prefer to not do this on Halloween? I would rather do it earlier myself since the weather gets more unstable as the weeks go by.

im thinking of making my first trip to the expo well worth the time and money you say? i checked out some pictures online of it ive never seen so much sweet equipment in one place.

Will you provide daycare for the guys traveling with young children Jim? Haha.

Id vote for the 678 as well. Two young ones to trick or treat with also.

And unruly weather? I sweat like an animal, winter is my favorite time for tree work, so much easier to manage your warmth level!

I'm leaning towards October 30, 31, and November 1.

That way we could do it before the Expo and have a lot to talk about with others when we go to TCI Expo.

A great way to spread the word about the crane workshop with people and generate future interest.

The boss was saying something about a Mayer crane workshop. and we'd be in...probably three or four guys. Don't think we can do both that and TCI. good amount of storm damage down here in SE RI. Keep us updated!

The dates are still being decided upon. Seems like a near split. I am going to ask the sponsors if they have a preference and then put it up here one last time.

We have added a few new components this year that I am excited about. I will fill you all in when we have confirmation.
