The state of Fl. is one half a BILLON dollars over budget. So what our some of the plans? Taking from the schools. Stopping of Substitute teachers, Quality of the lunch, no art, no extra sports. Shoot Orange county is talking about no school buss es. Public transportation, only at the parents expense

Why don't they just shut the schools down, who needs to learn anyway.

They shut down 7 schools in my county alone last year. But had the money to put in a real nice dock and swim platform, and a two story gazebo at the local punk hang out.

Go figure...................

Sorry about the RANT but when you mess with my family's way of life I do get a little upset....

stop whining! We have a $54billion budget, and they say we are $30 BILLION in the hole!!!!! They have hiring freezes, firing cops and firemen, raising the gas tax $0.10/gallon, Turning the $3.50 tolls into the city to $7, and the $1.25 toll into $5, they are also talking ANOTHER property tax raise, and far less social services....read school, DPW, etc etc.

Live in TAXachusetts with Fat Ted Kennedy(The murderous pig he is), and then tell me how bad you have it, PLEASE!!!

I am not getting to who is worse. We also are having gas tax hikes, hiring freezes, property tax is the highest in the nation and 800% toll hikes on top of the hikes just last month. Jersey is probably a tie with Conn. and Mass as far cost of living not to metion we were voted the worst state when it comes to being business friendly. Just to let you know the world doesn't get much better anywhere you go so let's make the best of it. Everyone has their own cross to bear.

We are in a WAR, which eats up quite the $$$.

And fat teddy has been in the senate for 40 years! not exactly a term candidate now is he?
 
There's not a state or province that isn't in a bind. Not much to do but put your head down and work or find a way to work. It is really about consumer confidence. Once that gets going again then the economy will be back on it's feet.
