No sir, although I've never heard of a sheet hitch only the sheet bend to join two ropes together

Its a butterfly... It is tied from the end of th rope vs. in the middle. One of our guys figured it out this winter for an easy way to cinch off single line at the top without sending your whole rope through. He can tie it around the rope. Put a pull down on it or the tail and its retrievable. I havent watched him do it yet but its really easy he says.
