3:1 safety factor.
What do you think about that?
Thanks.

3:1 safety factor.
The nylon strap will tell you.I wonder what the replacement schedule should be on a strap that sees this kind of extreme loading on a regular basis..
If on their site type in “premium black”. I am sure it’s with at least a 3:1 safety factor.I didn't see that one.
Is it with a 3:1 design factor?
My motto is: if you start to question it replace it. A sixty dollar strap once a year is hardly breaking the bank.Yeah it's interesting to think about on a large diameter stem with the ratchet cranked tight. Are the forces spread out on the strap at all or are they really just concentrated close to the bollard on either side. I wonder what the replacement schedule should be on a strap that sees this kind of extreme loading on a regular basis...
The nylon strap will tell you.
This is exactly what I meant. The strap will show you signs of degrading wear.My motto is: if you start to question it replace it. A sixty dollar strap once a year is hardly breaking the bank.
Are the ropes going to grab with that flare?GRCS/GB Bollard tandem setup. Use the Goods for pieces that need tensioning and lifting, and the GB bollard for normal down-rigging. Or control 2 lines from one station.
