Uhhh, Lava Cake? No takers?

I'm not getting it. Also, I don't want to watch that video again in the hopes that I will get it. It sucked real bad the first time, and I promised myself I wouldn't watch it again.

After cranking up the GRCS I would have still put a couple of 10k binding straps up the trunk as far as they could do the diameter and cranked them up.

Wow I can honestly say, I really had to watch this video just to realise I became a little less tree care inclined. My 21 month old daughter could have done a way much better job then this. Plz stop posting junk. Your work gives the tree care industry a bad name... plz just do us a favor, when you learn to do things right, leave the work to the professionals. Enough said...

Whoa, that was harsh. Daniel gets it done, like him or not. Check out some of his hundreds of videos before judging him that severely. Let your daughter enjoy her time as a toddler. No need getting her messed up with storm damaged trees until she's about 9 or 10.

Peace,

SZ

He didn't do anything wrong that I saw. I just didn't like the drama and the fact he had more responses on tree buzz than my video. That's why I was hating. Any bad split should be secured before work starts. If it was bad, I would have used grcs AND used logging chains and binders the whole split. If smaller trees or up in the tree, we use big ratchet straps. I've got lots of pictures of both being used.

Nothing wrong with constructive peer criticism. Just no need for some posters to rise to a level of hatred for the guy. I've talked with him a few times by telephone, and we keep in touch now and then via email. Whatever I think of his work, he's always been cool with me on a personal level. Maybe I'm just a nice guy, lol.

Didn't seem out of line to me. Cranked it up, and cut out the weight. Straps would have been nice, but I can't see a strong rope snapping when while your taking weight off the tree.

Drama....Xman? You walked out of a pond with sh!t hanging off your neck like some deep water creature in your last video.

For post 1 dude you are waaaay out of line. Is this our intro to you? Well welcome to Treebuzz. Most of us enjoy a good amount of professional courtesy. I invite you to show some. I think you've got way much better in you.

EZ, that's the nicest thing I've ever read you write about Kool Murph D.

It's a Festivus miracle!!

(Now, back to the besmudgery, boyscout.)

I personally think it is pretty amusing reading some of the comments about murph's videos, and i do agree some do need negative criticism but it's going way to far. I think it's a bit boyscoutish making fun of everything he does because we can all learn from it, tree work, skid steer skills or whatever it may be! Right or wrong! (I am guilty at making fun too) Oroboros is right, we all have way much better in us and halfton is out of line but all i'm trying to say is cut the man some slack.... Just a bit.

see! America likes stupid dramatic TV.

You bastards respond like crazy to Danny's crap.

My latest video, only like 2 people responded.

Daniel is a genious on commentary and how to act I guess.

Uses stuff like, "most dangerous tree in 35 years".

Writes stuff like, "monster tree".

Yeah, "thank God you didn't sell the GRCS." Also, thank God you didn't sell your F'ng bucket truck.

Wow, you can stick your hand in it. Well, stick your weiner in it and then crank the crack shut, it will get you even more viewers.

America loves personality, the spikey hard hat you got and fancy friction saver you reinvented are pretty blahzay. We want drama and excitement and daniel brings it.
Any climber worth a chit recognizes this is a tricky tree and was handled just fine.

Thanks Mom,
never figured X for a whiny little petty bitch... but she sure showed her true colors... though the image of getting your crushed in a split crotch was good for a laugh, so maybe we should giver her a pass on this one.. She was probably PMSing..

You know what Daniel, when you first started showing videos long ago, my problem with you was you talked to the camera like you were a teacher. But you taught risky crap and I was afraid stupid people might follow you.

You showed a very recent video link on another post. You're proud of this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cO00lMK7vKI&feature=youtu.be

This is what I tried to write as a response, but treeslayer has the comments set for him to review before he posts them.

"I told people it would happen. Daniel keeps putting out that cowboy dramatic crap and some stupid people will start doing things that way too. Here's the proof. You roll the customer's shed (hope it was garbage), tweak a utility pole that isn't yours and put the customer's house at some risk to do things fast and cheap. Yeah, you got da money now, so go git drunk and let ur boyz buy themselves some crack. We need arborist work to be viewed as professional, not go the other way."

Now, I will say this. Your stuff was really rough and risky years ago. You got better. Your trimming got better, your cabling got better. Of course, the whole time you talk like you are the top thinker of all tree men.

But now this treeslayer video brings me back to my original dislike of your video postings.

Yeah, we actually do use your name at work as vocabulary too.

We say, "don't do a Daniel". Which means, take the time to do it right and safe, don't take a risky short cut.

Boy, you're mouthy for only your 4th post.
Maybe I'm not worth a chit then. It's not the normal every day tree, but after any big storm there are plenty of situations like this and worse.

I said he did fine, by the way.

Although, we didn't see any of the actual work being done, if I remember.
