Girl question here - Undergarments

Lynn Hill is awesome. I met her in 1981. We just left our gear in a pile and watched her and two guys climb all day.

For you non-rockies, West Face of Leaning tower is 1200' of continuously overhanging granite face... outrageously sustained... 1200' of pullups.

Nice video John.

I'll ask the women in my group if they know about Tree Buzz yet so they could jump on board.

Yup, I'm here!

I haven't posted on TreeBuzz much, I find it a bit slow on my drip feed dialup, I do post quite a bit on AS and TW (keeping it to initials for now)

However, here is my two cents worth and I'll try to come here more often:

The title of this thread caught my eye and I got some great info from it, the kind of specialist information we gals really need, there are some gender unique issues that need discussion!

My suggestion would be to encourage those of us who 'feel no way' about posting in a male dominated forum to go ahead and initiate threads of relevance to women, make the title obvious for the female lurkers, so they know the discussion is initiated by and intended mainly for women.

Men would be welcome, after all, I've posted some doozies in the men's discussions too, but the threads should be carefully moderated to encourage the lurkers, and eliminate inappropriate posts, fun and lighthearted humour is great, innuendos and smut is not!

So, that said, girls....
Once you've found that awesome support garment...how the #(*% do you get the stains out from the wood chips that collect in the valley?
'cause you know you have to be wearing nice undies in case of a trip to the ER!!

well said. i volunteer my services, and if anyone catches something before i see it please feel free to send me a PM to draw my attention to it. i'm sure the other moderators will be more than happy to lend support as well.

welcome!

first suggestion - dark colors - other then that - try a soak of electro sol - or Calgon dish washer liquid - i soak them in warm water and a tablespoon of the liquid in a tub or bucket -= then I wash normal.

about undies - yes colors are great BUT short enough so they are not showing when your sit back in your harness. I have had to pickup longer body shirts that stay tucked in.

i am going with the nylon/spandex over cotton

Hey Jersey,

I personally like Champion dry-fit sports bras with no seams, about $30 and available in most sporting good type places. They have all sorts of styles & colors. Importantly they are long wearing, and did I mention fun colors?

Patagucci is cool, but much more $$.

I have found that i will NEVER order online UNLESS I tried it on in a store then order and when I go shopping i need to BRING a girl friend with me to assist with the installation of ones that are the non-opening type - NICE getting stuck in the article and twist and turn and bend in all different ways to get it on or off. NEED to open with a hook or claps. Love the seamless and adjustable straps.

I want to THANK all for the education on garmets that are close to my heart.

NEXT - has anyone tried the long shirts that snap at the bottom - like a toddlers ones'ies or a dancers body shirt?

jz

Never tried the 'onesie'...can't help but think it would ummm...chafe or pull.
What advantage do you think it would be over a regular shirt? I find pulling my shirt out over my trousers helps keep the chips going for a trip down the mystic valley...

Hey, I'm glad to know I'm not alone in thinking about that! Shaving my legs comes to mind as well. Oh what we have to do for our vanity.

I like your thoughts Bermie. Definitily well said about the women's forum.

Hey, does anyone think we should move this thread to our new forum as a record to where it all began? Plus I'm sure there is more to say about this topic.

Shave legs, shave underarms, clean undies, ready to CUT TREES!
Don't forget your gloves ,cause its not about having knarly hands!

Hey Jerseygirl,

I know what you mean, I get ahold of some Patagonia stuff, but I actually find Champion makes a jog bra with clasps that work's it's [bad word] off! Hopes this help's, Champion stuff is sold at pretty much all major sporting good stores and some dept. stores. Rock on ...
