getting spray rig ready for spring

I keep my spray rig outside and winterize it with the pink RV anti-freeze.

Just wondering how others clean out the tank before doing deep root fert and especially foliar sprays?

I just figured I'd flush it out with 75 gallons of water or so and then start with deep root fert?

(Draining and properly disposing of the anti freeze first of course)

Any other concerns or suggestions?

I'm just curious if any residual anti-freeze could have a negative effect on the trees when deep root ferting and foliar spraying. Anyone had any issues with this? If not did you really scrub out the tank before starting the applications?

We do the same as what you're doing. We typically drain as much as possible and then flush with 75-100 gallons on H20. Haven't had any trouble so far. This is the procedure our local John Bean sprayer dealer recommended.

When using herbicide in the past, we'd triple rinse our backpack sprayers, rather than just add a bunch of water, once, after draining. You Might get a better rinse if you add rinse water, drain, add, drain, add, drain.

Just an idea, as I have no experience with plant health care spraying. We were in the invasive tree killing game when I was using herbicide.
