They’re on Spotify too. At least they’re having trouble recruiting people for that bullshit, and that’s even in the midst of a terrible job market.

Seriously, I know folks left and right getting laid off, looking for work, SNAP benefits set to expire- the way this political machine will gamble *hunger* is completely criminal. Starting to look more and more like Nottingham around here.

Covid whooping our ass because our president, Donald J Trump, spent all his time repeatedly, knowingly, and willingly lying to the American people about the severity and highly contagious nature of Covid. SNAP benefits (and maybe WIC) expire = looting and riots in cities = more reason to send troops in and suspend elections. It's all in the works.
 
States to have rapid-response National Guard units for civil disturbances by Jan. 1

The National Guard is planning to train as many as 500 troops per state to serve as part of a rapid-response force focused on civil disturbance missions, according to two U.S. officials.

The move follows an executive order signed by President Donald Trump in August that called for each state to have National Guard quick reaction forces that could be deployed on short notice for "quelling civil disturbances and ensuring the public safety and order."

Each state will be required to have a quick reaction force ready by the start of next year with most states required to have 500 personnel assigned to the force, the officials said.

No doubt Trump is intentionally trying to create civil unrest so he can pull the insurrection card and officially end well over 200 years of democracy in America. The fucking irony of Trump, a bonafide insurrectionist, pulling the insurrection card..

From where I am siiting it seems that we don't need to imagine the beginning of the end of democracy as we know because it has already begun.

On a side note concerning substandard public health Ralph Nadar had an interesting and enlightening segment today on America's preparedness (or lack of) for the next big health crisis, which is surely coming. Trump is steadily going about the business of dismantling all the relevant agencies all but ensuring that as many Americans as possible die when the next epidemic/pandemic hits us..Sinister and scary stuff.
