What is a typical gaslighting?

Deflecting and confusing a victim are hallmarks of gaslighting, and perpetrators often " refuse to take responsibility for their actions " Dr. Hairston says. Gaslighters might accuse their victim of deliberately provoking them and then blame the victim when they get angry.

I think there’s been a mix up. @Pinhead Squirrel, @Shadowscape seemed to be referring to the prison food in GA, and not to you at all
There aren't any Chinese food in Prison in GA. Maybe an peanut on a floor to step on that boy... But I do appreciate your effort to squash this situation that all cause by him tho I wish he had learn that when he was while tiny boy. ;)

If the lad could have a thought, he would realize I was not talking to him or about him, but referring to a line from a movie when Lisa gets out of the car in Alabama and says, "I bet the Chinese food here is terrible." Had to do with Rico's comment about Georgia prison.
My Cousin Vinney
But the lad seems to have some whacky agenda. And he needs to go back to English class and pay attention this time.

Finally...

After whispers and chatter in the hallways the New Hampshire Attorney General is looking hard at the 14th Amendment

The heat went up a degree.

What if we choose to change the direction of this thread--or start a new thread (better idea?)--where we discuss the daily machinations of the coming state and federal trials, each of which comprises crimes never tried before?

Are we interested in starting a new thread to discuss these ongoing, historic trials? If so, I'm happy to start that thread and link to it from here. How about a simple page in Off Topics called The Trials of 2023?

I know that some of you like to play chess; perhaps we can all try to treat our talks as a chess game, wherein we reason before acting. How many of us will participate in constructive communication as we explore America's uncertain future?
Well, so much for constructive communication . . .

According to section 3 of the 14th amendment Donny is disqualified from holding office in the future.

For this to be accurate he would first need to be convicted of participating in an insurrection/rebellion. Not even sure he’s been charged with anything of the sort. (There are so many charges…)

If candidates for office can be summarily disqualified by any politically motivated state AG, we have a serious issue. Like constitutional crisis level issue. What would we do if only red states had Trump on the ballot and only blue states had Biden? The system fails.

He was found guilty of inciting and supporting an insurrection during his 2nd impeachment. He just wasn't punished for the crime.

On the other hand, my fear is that the position or title of "President" is not specifically mentioned in the Amendment.
