As I said earlier, we now live in a time where policy trumps character. (No pun intended.) And this is the best economy millions of Americans have ever lived in. Lowest black unemployment ever recorded. Do you care about minorities or not? At some point this stuff begins to matter to the average voter. And this poll was taken before the recent jobs report came out. It just might go up again.

I am not sure Trump is going to do all that well next year. His fanatic, loyal base alone is not enough to win an election. A huge part of his previous win were swing voters who can go either way and an awful lot of these people were not voting for him as much as voting against Hillary Clinton. The Clintons are not popular even with a lot of Democrats and also remember the entire Bible-thumping middle of the country who can't stand the idea of a woman having any power outside the kitchen, let alone running for president. Even then, Trump did not win the popular vote but got in thru a trick of the Electoral College (which was ironically emplaced as a buffer by the Fore Fathers to prevent exactly this sort of thing happening, the unwashed masses electing an unsuitable president). Things may be vastly different next time around if the Democrats field a candidate who is not a Clinton and not a woman. I have talked to quite a number of Trump's own GOP here locally who are absolutely fed up with him and his childish tweeting and constant exaggerating and lying. He is proving to some of them an embarrassment and a liabililty. There are potentially millions of swing voters who might feel the same way if members of the GOP itself like Romney, McCaine, etc. felt that way about Trump. I can only hope that people really pay attention to what Trump actually is doing. Right now it appears he may be trying to start something with either Iran or China, or both, in deploying assault ships and B-52's over there. A convenient distraction away from the public focusing on his domestic woes and scandals. Never mind it could cost innocent people their lives if he gets us into the soup with a shooting war somewhere.

Go looks at the graphs on jobs in the US over the last 10 years. You see any big uptick since Obama turned around Bush's gawd awful economy? Nope you don't. Just a nice straight line. No need to thank Obama though?

Sorry, this is galactically absurd. For starters, it's pretty hard to do worse than socialism, unless you follow it to its logical conclusion and go whole hog Communist. Nothing about socialism is good, efficient, moral, altruistic, desirable or American. Nothing. To suggest otherwise exposes a staggering historical ignorance. Not even the "softer" compromised kind of socialism Bernie claims to want. After all, where do you compromise between food and poison?
