Just a headsup for folks in this area: 6:30 pm I'm doing 2 hours on Structural Pruning Street Trees for a Tree Stewards group, Tuesday, March 3rd, at the Roundhouse in Byrd Park.

A splendid time is guaranteed for all! For the benefit of Mr. Kite. ;)

That's great Guy, especially in the context of the recent thread on CEUs. Did you or did the Tree Stewards group seek approval for granting of CEUs? I've never been clear as to that process.

Guy,

What's the cost? Are there other workshops Tues, or are you the whole show? Not that you're not good enough....:D

Kevin, either party can apply. I was just going to bring a post-approval form. http://www.isa-arbor.com/certification/resources/ISAPostApprovalForm.pdf

And yes this was a spinoff from that "High Cost" thing. And I love your "accrue" note--the whole CEU thing is on the honor system, so many take the opportunity to fall short in that area.
I'm writing ?s for talks from now on, just as a reality check for myself, to see what's actually coming through, as well as a comprehension check. Speaking of which...

Bucknut, read the first word in the title, and note the time, and your ?s are answered. And one more note:

FREE BEER! will not be served, but come on down anyway!

Hey BRT it was good to meet you tonight

I had fun talking about young trees instead of old trees as I've been obsessed with for so long

It was an enthusiastic group of citizens volunteer tree care people
And the ladies to coordinate this group are very knowledgeable plant people
Proud to meet Janine Lester BCMA, a formidable arborist and beauteous person.

There are too many trees
And is not enough arborists
So training the citizenry seems like the way to go

And judging by the questions and feedback I got it will lead to a few high-quality referrals

Thanks Guy,

It was good to meet you as well. I enjoyed the presentation and slides. Also nice to meet Dan & Jay. You put a lot of work into the presentation, and I'm sure Richmond will benefit from what those volunteers learned.
