footlock prusik troubles

i recently got some new footlock prusik cord from sherrill not the 8mmb-linebut some other no name cordage,in which i was hoping would'nt bite on the rope as hard as the beeline does.well it does'nt bight down as hard but i cant seem to figure out how to properly adjust the dern thing and is that crap spliceable?is there some sort of formula to figure out how to adjust it i have not made one in like 5 or 6 years now it's harder than hell to footlock when you prusik is a foot&a half away from your hands

I don't know what rope it is, but if it is what I think it is- no..not spliceable.

You just gotta take the knot apart and shorten it up and retie.

Or just splice yourself one out of some better rope...

yea i'm pretty sure the stuff's not spliceable i've also got beeline so i'll probably just use that instead tnx
