Foot Ascender Question

Anybody using a foot ascender on 16 strand? Wondering about differences versus smaller diameter 24 strand ropes.

i used the pantin from the first day it was on the market

this was years before any sub-13mm/half inch arbo ropes wer made

it will work just fine

Thanks Tom im using pantin on blue streak, but i wondered if it might be smoother on the newer ropes.

not a huge difference


be aware...not many ascenders are made to be used with 13mm/half inch ropes. read the specs

pantin is not life support so it doesn't matter

I have the new CMI foot model, works on every rope I have. Tachyon, Blue Streak, Blue Moon, 1/2" HTP SRT line, my Allgear 16 strand, never had a problem. Very smooth, and a HUGE energy saver.
