This state by state list makes me hungry.

They suggested a Juicy Lucy for Minnesota...a much better suggestion than lutefisk or some hotdish.

Is their suggestion a good one to represent your state?

I would say that yes, the Philly Cheesesteak is probably the most famous food, but while Patss and Geno’s are the most famous, John’s Roast Pork just won “Best Cheesesteak in Philadelphia.”

I think the Shoofly Pie is a very close second choice food to try though.

A low carb beef vegetable soup that she made in the crockpot. Really hit the spot after being outside in the cold.A8B1FF13-D88B-477F-BC20-379459CF43C0.jpeg

Then for dessert she made a keto chocolate cheesecake. The ganache didn’t set, so the topping is a bit runny, but is still heavenly. Five grams net carbs in a pretty big slice :)

That soup looks really good !

I guess Buffalo is getting hammered w/ the snow overnite.
Here in Chardon, I got > 18+" in 12 hours; another 4-8" predicted.

Snow Update in Chardon, OH:
It has stopped for a while - 21+" in 17 hours; still 4-8" more forecast for overnite.
I was going to wait 'til tomorrow to try to break out (250' long drive).

Then I get a call from my neighbor (1000' drive); he offers to clear the bulk w/ his new 2-stage snow blower.
New Holland tractor, 30 hp, R4 Tires (btwn turf & farm style). It blew snow at least 30 feet !
He was done in < 45 min. !

Last year, I had 2 neighbors that needed help with a heavy snow. One couldn't start his tractor; the other had a contractor who couldn't do it because all his equipment was broken.

It's nice to have good neighbors ! ! !

Wow, that’s quite a storm! We got almost 3” before it turned to rain. You do have great neighbors, be sure to send over some of your cooking and they’ll probably keep your driveway clean forever!

That ALL looks delicious, and I don't normally like eggplant !
I think of eggplant as very soft, pithy, &/or mushy.
Did you bake or fry the eggplant ? Time ? Firmness ?

I've used it to make ratatouille, but then it is "hidden" by so many other vegies.

This is baked and not for too long where it gets too mushy

Ribeyes on the electric griddle- salt and pepper seasoned and basted (slathered) with garlic butter before and during cooking.
Asparagus cooked in the oven in olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, italian and ranch seasonings.
Mashed potatoes from a bag because Monday.
Cedar, begging as per usual. Lucky she's cute.
