Florel fruit inhibitor?

We've got a homeowner in Providence with an incredibly fertile Sweetgum street tree, and they are insisting that we (the Forestry Division) remove the tree because of their problems with the fruit.

We're considering using Florel fruit inhibitor to control the fruit production... Anyone have experience with this or similar products? From what I've read, results are pretty good, but I'd like to hear from anyone here who has used it, especially for Sweetgum. Thanks!

I used it Tom and it was on a sweetgum.

same deal, a sweetgum that put out a LOT more balls than normal.

gotta spray tree heavily just at the right time, just as flower buds swelling and starting to open (I think it was). you only got about a 4 day window maybe?.

anyway, the homeowner said it made a good difference, but they still had a little bit of a mess.

next season, they had me do it again. so it must have worked okay.

fourth season after that, it was really wrecking driveway with it's roots and they said that's enough and we took it down.
