floating false crotch?

I hope I'm not posting a redundant thread, but I was curious when do you guys use this setup. I believe when this was discussed last, everyone described the hardware they used. I was wondering is this something you have in your bag of tricks for certain situations or do you climb on this system all the time.

I use it quite often on larger prune jobs when getting material to the ground will be important to get the job done. If getting to the tie in point first and then going to work will not effect the timing on the job, I will work more traditionally.

You mean so the groundies don't just sit there and watch? So you give them something to cleanup right? Do you give them the condescending "Do somethin'!!!" snarl. /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif Depends on the groundie. /forum/images/graemlins/avid.gif

I use it in that situation, but also when I just have a "couple of limbs" over the house or out of another tree. Can benefit from the high TIP, but dont need to get all the way there to work. It is faster than footloocking and then tying in.
