Since I've started climbing str I've only ever used Yale 16 Strand xtc. I noticed the bounce but haven't ever not had it so I didn't think anything of it. How big a difference could it really make I thought. I just got 200' of Yale Kernmaster Safari from a fellow buzzer and can't believe the difference. Holy cow! Hardware works better, the wrench responds better with my hitch, the lack of bounce seems to have really cut my ascent time down. Never again will I question if it was bounce or rope slipping at the base!
