Fatal Tree Cutting Accident

I've been there when co-workers have died. And the best man I've met in my travels died when him and his son were cutting firewood. A small 4" tree caught him side of the head and broke his neck. So we should know by now how to work safe. We just need these constant reminders almost every day to stay focused. I describe any small pieces as dangerous comparing them to being hit by a baseball bat.

If your curious the deaths were not in tree work. I'll tell the story as an example of how easy a small thing turns big. Working at a fishing lodge in the artic circle. On a lake bigger than the great lakes, Great Bear, experienced guides and head cook boating in the evening 200yds from the lodge, smooth water. They had possibly 2 beer possibly a joint. Anyway I found the boat empty, going in circles at full throttle. The RCMP flew in and dropped off hooks for us to drag the lake. After dragging for five days they sent up divers and they found the bodies. Don't know the cause. Probably a slip on the grip of the tiller. That quick.
