[/ QUOTE ]You might want to fact check that change before making it. Words can have different menaings in different contexts and regions and professions. mrtree may be right in some places, but that sounds like overparsing to me; i've heard "hormone" used by several botany professors.

my original source material for this article is the course manual for Tree Risk Assessment in Urban Areas and the Urban/Rural Interface by J. Dunster. Sense then i have found many biological texts that refer to Auxin as a hormone or a Phytohormone.
